Sheep for Sale

I don't often have sheep for sale, but when I do this is where they are listed.

Duke

Duke is a four-year-old white merino ram (born in June of 2007) with big, curly horns.  He is 100% merino.

He was born on Connie Gustafson's farm.  Duke's father was a Bliss Ram purchased from Bliss Ranch in Colorado (www.blissranch.com), well-known for their ultra fine merino breeding stock.  His mother was one of Connie's merino ewes.

Duke was sold to Charlotte Nadig as a breeding ram and she was very pleased with his lambs.  I bought Duke from Charlotte in November of 2009 and have used him for my 2009 and 2010 breeding.  His lambs were sound and healthy. All lambs were white (even from my colored ewes).  I have kept all of Duke's 2009 and 2010 ewe lambs and you are welcome to inspect them for their soundness and health.

I have been very pleased with Duke's lambs - the only reason I am selling him is to avoid line breeding with his daughters and granddaughters.  I have purchased a new ram to use this year.

I am asking $150 for Duke.  Duke resides on my farm in Stockton, Illinois (in Northwest Illinois, about halfway between Freeport and Galena).

Please call me at (815) 541-0897 or e-mail me at Suzy@SuzyBeggin.com if you have any questions or to see Duke.
